  • The historic battle between England and Wales at the 2022 Six Nations

Our Six Nations 2022 tickets are live, so we can begin to plan ahead. We look forward to cheering on the best rugby teams from the stands again. We can wet our whistles because there’s a lot at stake in the upcoming Six Nations. England and Wales are going to have a historic battle and here’s why:

    England and Wales
    England Six Nations

England are record holders in all areas

How could it be otherwise, England, the homeland of rugby, has won the Six Nations the most, winning the title no less than 29 times. No one else has managed to come out on top in this highly regarded rugby tournament so many times.

13 wins for England in the Six Nations via a Grand Slam, which means the Red Roses didn’t lose a single match during those campaigns. That makes England the record holder with the most titles and the most Grand Slams of the Six Nations. Impressive, but their record is on the line.

    Wales chase England’s records

Here’s why the next Six Nations is going to be so defining: Wales have only one less title than England. The Welshmen won the 2021 edition and If they win the 2022 Six Nations again, it will be top of England’s list for next year. The English will do everything they can to prevent that, so we are in for an exciting battle from February 5th to March 19th 2022.

The Red Dragons also have 12 Grand Slams to their name, one fewer than their rivals. If Wales play a flawless tournament next year and win everything, they will equal England as record holders in terms of titles and Grand Slams. Last year’s championship team may be up to those expectations. Last season Wales beat England by a good margin (40-24), but the English won’t let that happen again so easily we can be sure. England’s records and honours are at stake next year!
